Getting started

Understand FundedIQ and the simulated trading journey.

Guide
What is FundedIQ?

FundedIQ offers simulated trading evaluation programmes and a route to performance-based rewards. You complete the requirements of your chosen programme, pass the required review and verification, and progress to an IQ Account.

The focus is on trading performance, risk management and consistency. All account balances and trading activity are simulated.

Link to this answer
Is FundedIQ trading live or simulated?

All FundedIQ trading is simulated, including evaluation accounts and IQ Accounts. An IQ Account is the reward stage of the programme; it is not a live brokerage account.

Link to this answer
Can I withdraw the account balance?

No. The displayed balance is simulated and is not money you own or can withdraw. Rewards are separate and depend on eligible performance, your programme terms and the required review.

Link to this answer
Do I own the assets I trade?

No. A simulated trade does not give you ownership of currencies, shares, commodities or digital assets.

Link to this answer
Are rewards or passing guaranteed?

No. Passing requires you to meet all applicable objectives and trading rules. Rewards require eligible performance and satisfaction of the reward conditions; neither approval nor a reward amount is guaranteed.

What should I read before choosing a programme?

Start with the programme comparison, then review the trading objectives and prohibited practices. Check the current Product Schedule for the account size, entry fee, objectives and reward conditions that apply to your choice.

Make sure the trading rules fit your own strategy before you begin.

Programmes & fees

Choose your evaluation route and check its conditions.

Guide
What is IQ One?

IQ One is FundedIQ’s one-step evaluation programme. It has one evaluation stage before review for an IQ Account. Passing is followed by the required account review, verification and agreement.

Link to this answer
What is IQ Core?

IQ Core is FundedIQ’s two-step evaluation programme. You complete Stage 1 and Stage 2 before review for an IQ Account. Passing Stage 1 moves you to the second evaluation stage, rather than directly to the reward stage.

Link to this answer
What is the difference between IQ One and IQ Core?

The confirmed structural difference is the number of evaluation stages: IQ One has one and IQ Core has two. Both use MT5, both are simulated, and both lead to review for an IQ Account after the required evaluation stages.

Compare the current objectives, entry fees and reward conditions as well as the number of stages. Fewer stages alone does not tell you which programme fits your trading.

Link to this answer
What account sizes and entry fees are available?

Use the current Product Schedule and the offer shown when selecting your programme for the available account sizes and entry fees. Figures in website examples are illustrative and do not establish an available account size or price.

Link to this answer
Is my entry fee refundable, and can I reset a failed evaluation?

Check the fee-refund, cancellation, retry and reset conditions attached to the programme before purchasing. A refund or free reset should not be assumed from passing an evaluation or from starting a new attempt.

Read the Refund and Cancellation PolicyLink to this answer
Can I have more than one account?

Check the account and allocation limits in your Product Schedule. You must not circumvent account, position or allocation limits.

Copy trading and coordinated matching entries between accounts are prohibited even when both accounts belong to you. The ability to access multiple accounts does not make copying between them permitted.

Trading objectives

Targets, loss limits, qualifying days and consistency.

Guide
What profit target do I need to reach?

The target comes from the Product Schedule for your selected programme and current stage. Use that requirement rather than percentages shown in worked examples.

A target is only one part of passing. Trading days, loss limits, consistency conditions and trading restrictions also apply.

Link to this answer
Have I passed as soon as I reach the target?

Not automatically. All applicable objectives and trading conditions must be met, and the required account review must be completed. Wait for confirmation before treating the evaluation as passed.

Link to this answer
What is the difference between daily loss and maximum loss?

Daily loss applies over the trading day defined by your programme. Maximum loss is an overall account limit. The two rules may use different reference values and calculations, and meeting one does not mean you have met the other.

Link to this answer
How do static and trailing drawdown differ?

A static loss floor stays fixed relative to the reference specified in the rule. A trailing loss floor can rise as its tracked reference increases.

Check the actual rule for balance versus equity, intraday versus end-of-day measurement, and any cap. The example charts explain the difference but do not set your account’s limit.

Link to this answer
Do open positions and trading costs affect my limits?

An equity-based calculation can reflect floating profit and loss before a position is closed. Commissions, swaps and other costs may also affect the monitored value.

Check the formula in your programme terms. The displayed balance by itself may not show how close you are to a limit.

Link to this answer
When does the daily loss limit reset?

Use the reset time and time zone specified for your account. Do not assume it is midnight in your own location. Check how open positions, costs and the reference balance are treated across the reset.

A reset does not automatically erase an earlier breach.

Link to this answer
How do minimum trading days and consistency rules work?

Your programme defines what counts as a qualifying trading day and any consistency requirement. Several trades on the same day do not necessarily count as several trading days.

Transactions without a genuine simulated-market rationale that are designed to game trading-day or consistency rules are prohibited.

Read the rule on manipulating objectivesLink to this answer
Is a trading time limit the same as an inactivity rule?

No. A maximum evaluation period and an inactivity condition are different requirements. Check both in your current programme terms, including what counts as activity and what happens if you stop trading.

Link to this answer
Are the examples on this website my actual account rules?

No. The website’s worked examples use hypothetical balances, percentages and trade data to explain a calculation or concept. They are not your account limits, an earnings forecast or confirmation of an available offer.

News & prohibited practices

The restrictions that apply to every FundedIQ account.

Guide
Can I trade around news events?

During the evaluation phases, news trading is allowed. On the IQ Account, trading is not allowed from 5 minutes before until 5 minutes after a restricted news event.

Use the Product Schedule and Trading Rules to identify the applicable restricted events, instruments and other restricted times.

See news trading, stage by stageLink to this answer
Does the five-minute news restriction apply during the evaluation too?

No. News trading is currently allowed during the evaluation phases: IQ One’s evaluation and both IQ Core evaluation stages. The five-minute window applies on the IQ Account.

Link to this answer
What does the news window look like in practice?

If a restricted event is scheduled for 14:30, trading is prohibited from 14:25 until 14:35. Use the event’s stated time zone when identifying the window.

This window applies on the IQ Account. During the evaluation phases, news trading is currently allowed.

Can I trade on stale prices or a platform pricing error?

No. You must not use delayed, frozen, stale, misquoted, off-market or demonstrably erroneous prices, or exploit a platform or data-feed defect.

Are latency arbitrage or excessive order messages allowed?

No. Latency arbitrage, server flooding, excessive order messaging, denial-of-service behaviour, and conduct designed to impair or manipulate a platform are prohibited.

Can I hedge between accounts or coordinate opposite positions?

No. Coordinated opposite positions or risk-free transfers of exposure between different traders, profiles or controlled groups are prohibited.

Can someone else pass or manage my account?

No. Account passing, account management, signal execution, copy services, and any third-party control of decisions or credentials are prohibited.

Can I place trades just to satisfy a trading-day or reward rule?

Transactions with no genuine simulated-market rationale that are designed to game a target, trading-day, consistency, reward, rebate or exposure rule are prohibited.

Which limits must I not try to bypass?

The restriction covers instrument, leverage, position, allocation, country, payment, device and account limits.

Can I trade using non-public confidential information?

No. Trading on non-public confidential information obtained through FundedIQ or unlawfully from another source is prohibited.

Are martingale, doubling down or all-in trades allowed?

No. Gambling-style trading is prohibited. This includes all-in positions, martingale, doubling, adding to a losing position with the same or a larger size, and approaches that rely on chance rather than skill to reach a target or reward.

Read the full restrictionLink to this answer
What counts as one-sided betting?

Repeatedly taking the same direction on one instrument or correlated instruments without genuine risk management, so the outcome rests on a single directional bet, is prohibited.

Is grid trading allowed?

A ladder of orders at regular price steps on the same instrument, placed without regard to direction or risk, is prohibited.

Read the full restrictionLink to this answer
What is prohibited price chasing?

Rapid reversals or re-entries within seconds of a loss that chase the market rather than follow a plan are prohibited.

Are tick scalping and high-frequency strategies allowed?

Tick scalping, burst or high-frequency order placement, quote stuffing, and ultra-short trades designed to exploit micro-movements, feed latency or the platform’s risk controls are prohibited.

Read the full restrictionLink to this answer
Can I copy trades, including between my own accounts?

No. Copy trading, mirror trading, trade copiers and coordinated entries that match another account in instrument, timing and size are prohibited. The restriction applies whether the other account belongs to you or someone else.

Read the full restrictionLink to this answer
Can I use an EA, bot or automated strategy?

Only within the Product Schedule’s permissions. An expert advisor, bot, script or automation is prohibited if the Product Schedule does not permit it, if it is not your own, or if it copies or reproduces another person’s trades.

MT5’s ability to run a tool does not mean FundedIQ permits that tool or strategy.

Read the full restrictionLink to this answer
Why might a sudden change in my trading be reviewed?

A sudden, material change in behaviour, size or frequency—particularly after most of a target has been reached—can indicate that the account is not being traded by the verified trader with the same genuine strategy. In that case, an explanation may be requested before a decision is made.

Read the full restrictionLink to this answer
Does an automated flag automatically fail my account?

No decision is made solely by the monitoring flag. Automated risk systems flag matching patterns, and a person reviews a flagged pattern before any decision.

Link to this answer
What happens if a prohibited practice is found?

A first occurrence normally results in a written warning to your registered email and dashboard. A repeat or a serious occurrence may fail the current phase, end the account, or exclude the affected profit under clause 10 of the Trading Rules.

“Normally” does not mean that a serious first occurrence must receive only a warning.

Link to this answer
Can I hold positions overnight or over a weekend?

No. Holding positions overnight or over a weekend is not allowed in any phase: not during the evaluation, and not on the IQ Account.

Do not infer permission from MT5 accepting a position or from the underlying market being open. Your Product Schedule is the record for your own account.

MT5 & connection

Install the platform, sign in and resolve common access issues.

Which trading platform does FundedIQ offer?

FundedIQ offers MetaTrader 5 exclusively for its simulated trading programmes. IQ One, IQ Core and IQ Accounts use MT5.

Link to this answer
Where can I download MT5?

Download MetaTrader 5 from MetaQuotes’ official website or your device’s official app store. It is available for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android; availability and device requirements are set by MetaQuotes and the relevant app store.

Link to this answer
Does installing MT5 start my evaluation?

No. Installing the platform or opening a generic demo account does not enrol you in a FundedIQ programme. Choose your programme and connect using the account issued for it.

Link to this answer
How do I log in to my FundedIQ MT5 account?

Use the account number, trading password and exact server issued for your current account. Your MT5 account number is separate from your website email.

Follow the login instructions issued with your account, and verify the account and connection before placing a trade.

Link to this answer
Why is my MT5 login rejected?

Check the account number, password and server together. Remove accidental spaces and confirm you are using the details for the correct account stage. Reinstalling MT5 will not correct an incorrect server or password.

If the issue continues, use the official support channel provided with your account. Never share your password in a support message.

Link to this answer
What if I cannot find the FundedIQ server?

Confirm that you are using MetaTrader 5 and search for the exact server name issued with the account. Do not choose a similarly named server or guess the name from the FundedIQ brand.

If it still does not appear, ask through the official support channel supplied with your account for the correct connection instructions.

Link to this answer
Why can I log in but not place a trade?

Check whether you signed in with an investor password, which provides read-only access. Also check the connection, symbol’s trading session, order size, account permissions and any account notice.

A successful login or a visible quote does not by itself confirm that trading is permitted.

Link to this answer
Can I use my phone or an existing MT5 installation?

You can use the account details in a suitable, up-to-date MT5 installation. MetaQuotes provides mobile apps for iOS and Android; check current device and regional availability through its official resources.

If the server is unavailable in your installation, follow the setup instructions supplied with your FundedIQ account.

Link to this answer
Is browser or web trading available?

Use a web terminal only if FundedIQ supplies an enabled web-access link for your account. MT5’s general web capability does not confirm access to your FundedIQ account through a public terminal.

Instruments & specifications

Find your markets and understand the contract settings.

Guide
Which instruments can I trade?

Check the instruments enabled in your issued FundedIQ MT5 account and the applicable Product Schedule. Instruments named on this website are educational examples, not a confirmed inventory of available markets.

Examples such as EURUSD, XAUUSD and US500 do not establish that those symbols are available on your account.

Link to this answer
Where do I find contract size, leverage and trading costs?

Review the exact symbol’s Specification window in MT5 alongside your account’s trading conditions. Check contract size, tick size and value, volume limits, margin, spreads, commission, swaps and sessions.

Not every cost is necessarily shown in one place. Confirm unclear fees or requirements through your official account support channel before trading.

Link to this answer
Why does a symbol have a different name or suffix?

Servers can use different symbol codes and suffixes for contracts or account settings. Search by the market description as well as the familiar code, then check the exact contract. Similar names do not guarantee identical specifications.

Link to this answer
Are a pip, a point and a tick the same?

No. A tick is a permitted price increment, a point relates to quoted precision, and a pip follows the instrument’s quoting convention. Confirm the units and their monetary value for the exact symbol before calculating risk or cost.

Link to this answer
Is the maximum order size also my risk limit?

No. A symbol’s volume or margin settings do not replace your programme’s loss limits, allocation limits or trading restrictions. An order being accepted by the platform does not mean it complies with every programme rule.

Link to this answer
Where do I check sessions, holidays and weekend availability?

Use the exact symbol’s session settings and your account notices. Check the stated time zone, market breaks, holiday changes and any maintenance periods.

Do not assume crypto is available at weekends or that a missing holiday notice means normal trading hours. Programme permission must be checked separately from market hours.

After passing & IQ Account

Review, verification, account access and the reward stage.

Guide
What happens after I pass my final evaluation?

Your trading activity is reviewed against the programme’s objectives, risk limits and trading rules. Complete the requested identity verification and trader agreement, then follow the account access instructions after approval.

IQ Core traders must complete both evaluation stages before this final-stage process.

Link to this answer
What documents do I need for verification?

Follow the document requirements in the secure verification process provided for your account. The requirements can depend on your location and the checks needed.

Use your correct legal details and clear, readable documents. Submit them only through the secure process, rather than sending identification or credentials to an unverified contact.

Link to this answer
How long does account review take?

Follow the current review guidance and updates provided for your account. Timing can depend on the programme and whether further information is needed. An IQ Account is subject to the required review and approval.

Link to this answer
Will I keep the same account and login after passing?

Follow the access instructions issued for the next stage. Do not assume the account number, password, server, instrument list or settings carry over unchanged. Check them before your first trade on the new stage.

Link to this answer
What is an IQ Account?

The IQ Account is FundedIQ’s reward-stage simulated trading account. You trade within the applicable rules and may qualify for rewards through eligible performance.

It is not a live brokerage account, and its displayed balance is not available for withdrawal.

Link to this answer
Do trading rules still apply on an IQ Account?

Yes. Passing does not remove your trading responsibilities. Check the loss limits, qualifying days, consistency requirements and reward conditions for the IQ Account stage.

The prohibited practices apply to every FundedIQ account, and the five-minute news restriction applies on the IQ Account.

Link to this answer
Can I withdraw profits made during the evaluation?

Evaluation results and balances are simulated. They are not cash you own or can withdraw. Any reward entitlement comes from the applicable reward-stage conditions and does not arise simply from reaching an evaluation target.

Link to this answer

Rewards

Eligibility, request conditions and understanding the calculation.

Guide
How do I qualify for a reward?

Build eligible performance on your IQ Account while meeting the account’s trading and reward conditions. Check the request window, required verification and any other applicable requirements before submitting.

A request remains subject to review. Passing the evaluation alone does not guarantee a reward.

Link to this answer
What reward share does FundedIQ offer?

Use the reward share set out in the current terms for your programme and IQ Account. A percentage shown in a website example is illustrative and is not an advertised FundedIQ reward share.

Link to this answer
When can I request my first reward?

You can request according to your programme’s schedule once the reward-stage eligibility conditions are met. Check the first request window, qualifying performance and any account review or verification requirements.

Link to this answer
How often can I request rewards?

The recurring request cycle is defined by your programme. Confirm the next available request date and whether a minimum reward amount or other condition applies before submitting.

Link to this answer
Which reward payment methods and fees apply?

Use the methods made available for your account and confirm the currency, receipt details, any minimum amount, fees and deductions. A particular bank, wallet or cryptocurrency method should not be assumed to be supported.

Link to this answer
How long does a reward request take?

Follow the request status and current processing guidance provided by FundedIQ. Review or additional information may be required; submitting a request is not automatic approval.

If more details are requested, respond through the official account channel. No fixed processing time is established by an illustrative website example.

Account help & affiliates

Account questions, support information and partner participation.

Guide
How do I get help with my account?

Use the official support channel supplied with your FundedIQ account. For a trading or connection issue, include the account number, current stage, exact error or symbol, and the time with its time zone.

Screenshots can help, but hide sensitive information. Never include passwords, secret credentials or unnecessary identity documents in a support message.

Contact supportLink to this answer
What if I disagree with an account review or profit exclusion?

Read the notice and the rule identified, then use the official account support or review channel to ask for clarification. Provide relevant trade details and any requested explanation, keeping original records.

A repeat or serious occurrence can affect the phase, account or affected profit under clause 10 of the Trading Rules; the account-specific notice should guide your next step.

Link to this answer
Is FundedIQ available in my country?

Check the current eligibility requirements for your location before purchasing. You must not circumvent country, account, payment or device limits. A website being accessible in a country does not by itself confirm eligibility.

Read the eligibility policyLink to this answer
Are the website’s chart examples my trading results?

No. The charts and worked examples on this website use illustrative data. They do not connect to your account or establish targets, limits, entitlements or an earnings forecast.

Use the account information and tools provided for your programme to review your own activity.

Link to this answer
Who can join the affiliate programme?

The programme is intended for creators, educators, community owners and publishers with an audience interested in trading. Participation is subject to review and an agreed partner offer.

Link to this answer
How are affiliate commissions and referrals handled?

Your partner agreement sets the commission rate, eligible purchase base, attribution method and tracking window. Confirm the payment cycle, minimum amount, supported methods and any fees.

An example rate or result shown on this website is not an approved offer or an earnings forecast.

Link to this answer
Can affiliates offer discounts or run paid ads?

Use discounts, codes, channels and campaigns authorised for your partnership. An affiliate commission does not automatically create a customer discount, and paid advertising should be agreed before launch.

Describe FundedIQ as simulated trading, disclose your affiliate relationship and avoid guaranteed earnings, invented results or claims that the account balance is live cash.
